Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani as well as a Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist who is currently fighting in the flyweight division of the UFC. Valentina Shevchenko, a former UFC Flyweight titleholder, and UFC friend of hers is her elder sister. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sports journey with a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimity. Antonina then won an award of Silver in 2007 and a Bronze Medal in 2008 and a gold medal in the year 2011, and as the IFMA Amateure Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia has started her professional journey at the age of three, was awarded in 2012 and 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships. The WMC World Championships were also held in 2016 and she took home the 2016 IFMA Muay Thai World Champion. Antonina took on Isa Tidblad Kskikangas last at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko set her professional MMA record in 2002 during the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She took the win via a second round TKO, and then won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to get a 3-0 record. Shevchenko was forced to take a break in order to concentrate on kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui by an unanimous decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by an unanimous vote. The promotion ended in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina utilized superior strikes to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the final clinch. Antonina took the UFC invitation following her win. Antonina took part in her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne modafferi by split decision following her first bout. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss by prevailing Lucie Prudilova's fight at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler with a rear naked choke. This was by far the most exciting fight of the night in this fight. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights.
