American actress Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. She started her career by playing minor roles in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). She was later a reporter Willa McPherson on the FX series Dirt and had a supporting role in the short-lived series The Ex List. She starred as a young Moira O'Hara during the initial season of FX's American Horror Story, and played Kaylee in the third season. She played Jessie Anderson on AMC's The Walking Dead as well as Sophie on NBC's This Is Us. She also voiced a variety of characters in Family Guy's animated comedy series. Since the year 2019, she has appeared as Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was a resident of Darien, Connecticut, until the age of 10, when her mom and daughter moved to California. were able to move around for a year before they settled in Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 when she started to develop an interest in acting, photography and singing. She relocated to Los Angeles with her mother when she was 15 to pursue a career in acting.
